We kicked off the 2025 wrestling season with a great event held in conjuction with the Katikati A&P show, last weekend. A great first event for the year with 55 entries.

United World Wrestling has shared with all National Federations their desire to build up Beach Wrestling because it will be part of the 2026 Youth Olympics and the 2032 Summer Olympics.

NZ Wrestling is planning to have a series of Beach Wrestling competitions each year to build our skill level. Beach Wrestling will be a part of the Oceania Championships and SEA/Oceania Championships from now on.
